Ever thought of fostering kittens?

1/09/2010

We need caring people to help us out with our fostering program.

Every year the Cats Protection League deals with hundreds of stray or unwanted kittens. Our fosterers take the kittens, often with mother cat if the kittens are very small, into their homes where they are cared for and socialised until we can find good homes for them.

Ideally, our fosters would be at home for the greater part of the day, as small kittens really need lots of care & interaction with people of all ages. A separate area like a laundry where they can be housed is a good idea as it gives them a quiet area away from the rest of the house that they can feel safe in.

Fostering kittens can be a wonderfully rewarding experience for your children too. It's a wonderful way for them to experience the pleasure of kittens, and to learn how to care for and love animals.

If you think you might be able to help with our fostering program, please call our kitten fosterer co-ordinator Susan on 565-1193 or send us an email at catsprotectionleaguewgtn@hotmail.com
