Lost and found cats - what to do 1/11/2003
The best service for lost and found animals by far is www.petsonthenet.co.nz which is a New Zealand-wide service. So please use this wonderful service and remember the other things you should do for the best chance of you & your pet being reunited:
- Prepare a flyer including a request for people to look in their garages and sheds etc
- Put the flyer in shopping malls, libraries, train stations, and of course, letterboxes in your neighbourhood.
- Ask your neighbours to check their sheds, garages etc. Anywhere the cat could have got into and been locked in. (And check your own of course).
- Go out calling for lost cats
- Contact local vets and SPCA (although they register found cats on petsonthenet)
- Ring Petphone
- BE PROACTIVE
